I am a Prime Minister Research Fellow at the Department of Physics, Indian Institue of Science, Bangalore. I am currently doing Ph.D. at the juncture of Physics and Neuroscience. I use relativistic quantum physics to determine the behavior of electron in spatially variable magnetic fields. I also explore the tools of physics to unravel the mysteries of our brains.

Research Highlights

Modified Landau Quantization

The degeneracy of Landau levels, which arises in the case of constant magnetic field, lifts out when the field is non-uniform and the energy levels of spin-up and spin-down electrons align in interesting way depending on the nature of magnetic field.
